Fairfax Flea, Tick, & Mosquito Control

Stop Fleas & Ticks!

PestNow Stops Fleas, Ticks, & Mosquitoes

PestNow's Yard Guard Program provides comprehensive protection against mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas through seven monthly treatments during the peak season from April to October. The service utilizes professional mist blowers and EPA-approved larvicides to eliminate adult pests and disrupt their breeding cycles, ensuring a safer outdoor environment for your family and pets.

How Does Yard Guard Work?

Step 1: Stop the breeding cycle

  • Inspect for breeding hot spots—planters, buckets, clogged gutters, birdbaths, tarps, tire swings, low spots, leaf litter, dense shrubs.

  • Treat mosquito breeding water with EPA-approved larvicides (where appropriate).

  • Recommend fixes to reduce standing water and moisture (grading, gutter/downspout, mulch/debris cleanup).

Step 2: Population Reduction

  • Apply professional power mist blower treatments to dense shrubbery, tall grass, tree lines, and under decks and porches.

  • This knocks down adults on contact and leaves a protective barrier that helps prevent reinfestation between visits.

Fleas, Mosquitoes & Ticks

Ticks here can spread Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and ehrlichiosis. Yard Guard targets leaf litter, wooded edges, and shaded covers with deep, targeted applications. We plan around local species: black-legged (deer) ticks, American dog ticks, and lone star ticks.

Fleas thrive in shaded, humid pockets—tall grass, mulch beds, leaf litter, and beneath decks. Wildlife (raccoons, opossums, rodents) can seed new populations. Monthly treatments disrupt the life cycle for effective flea control.

We apply larvicides to breeding sites and mist resting areas for rapid mosquito reduction. Ongoing, monthly service helps reduce exposure to mosquito-borne risks, including West Nile, Zika, and dengue. Not to mention your comfort. Take your outdoor space back with PestNow's Yard Guard Program.

  • Keep kids and pets indoors until treated areas are dry; we'll advise re-entry timing (often 30-60 minutes depending on weather).

  • We schedule around heavy rain; once dry, residues bind to foliage for ongoing effectiveness.

  • We avoid edible plants and blooming flowers; we'll set buffer zones around gardens and pollinator beds.
